Launching our New “Steps” Appeal.

We are now launching a new appeal to help us improve the facilities of our beautiful  Centre and enable more people to benefit from the classes we offer..
Over the past year we have managed to make a lot of improvements to the outside of the building. With the help of our friends and benefactors we have had the exterior paintwork repainted and the front of the building redecorated. As well as protecting the fabric of the building we think this will make the place more attractive so that more people will be encouraged to come here and benefit from the teachings.
Over the next six months we want to make improvements to the entrance of the building. In particular by improving the steps in a way that will make the Centre more easily accessible to people with disabilities.
We have drawn up plans to build a wooden platform over the top of the existing concrete steps and fit a new handrail. This will make it easier for people with walking difficulties to get into the building. It will also prepare the steps so that later we will be able to make the building completely wheelchair accessible by installing a lift mechanism.
We estmate that this work will cost roughly £4,000 and we are trying to raise that amount from our community. Any surplus funds will be used to help improve the building in other ways.

How you can Help

Whatever you can afford to give will be greatly appreciated and will help us improve the Centre.
We have drawn up a table of gifts which shows how we might be able to reach our total through a reachable number of donations of different sizes. As you can see it would only need 17 people to help us at the right level for us to able to make our target.

We have already received 4 generous donations totaling £550.00- a fantastic start to our appeal!

If you are able to help us we would be delighted to hear from you. Speak either to Visuddhimati or Suddhaka.

£1,000 x 1            - £1,000
£500 x 2                -£1,000
£250 x 4                - £1,000
£100x 10               - £1,000
Total                     - £4,000
